Book Tour & Discussion with the Nashville Food Co-op

Grocery Story is a book for everyone who eats. Through penetrating analysis and inspiring stories and examples of American and Canadian food co-ops, Grocery Story makes a compelling case for the transformation of the grocery store aisles as the emerging frontier in the local and good food movements. Author Jon Steinman:

  • Deconstructs the food retail sector and the shadows cast by corporate giants
  • Makes the case for food co-ops as an alternative
  • Shows how co-ops spur the creation of local food-based economies and enhance low-income food access.

As part of his 100-city book tour, we are proud to welcome author Jon Steinman to Nashville. Join us at The Nashville Food Project on Thursday, June 20 at 6:00pm to learn more about this book, this movement, and how YOU can help build our locally-owned food co-op in Nashville!

This event is FREE and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
